There will always be things that we hold on to. Whether it be a sad or happy experience. Like, losing a loved one or having eating ice cream for the first time in your life. Coming to Canada taught me one thing. These things never change.

I pretty much have moved into my accommodation. Have a room mate who is thankfully a course mate of mine from Taylor's. This blog is still dedicated to be a sort of a guide for those planning to study overseas. So here it is. How to survive in an alien environment while being Christian.

Religion. Truly a touchy subject in some places. But here it is. Since I am a Christian, I shall explain the best I can.

1. BIBLE

2. Bring at least one devotional material.

3. Rip all your Christian worship CD's into your external HDD if you have one or bring them with you.

4. Locate a church ASAP.

5. Keep in touch with your church mates / AP

I really do not need to explain the first point because that should be obvious enough. A christian without his or her sword is rather pointless no?

The second one is also important. The only reason is quite simple. You do not want to go a month without something to feed your spiritual need. It also helps to keep up the habit. (or start it)

3. You have no idea how helpful this was for me. Having not been to a church for a month, worship is hard to come by. So why not worship using mp3's?

The reason I say find a church is because you cannot rely on your own prayer and devotional material to sustain you. You will likely if not surely die out in a few months. That, and we as Christians live in a community. Correct?

Keeping in touch is also good. The reason is that you will be reminded that people are still watching and praying for you. So don't let them down. They want to see you in heaven and some are even look up to you as a figure.

Now, if I may (but then again, it is my blog), I would like to share something. As I have mentioned, I have not been in a church for over one month now. I do not profess to be a very good practicing Christian (I struggle to do devotional/read the bible) and I started to forget something really important in my life. Remember what I said at the beginning of this post? Going to church has always been something I love doing. Even though there are times where I just want to lay in bed for the morning. Worship was something I ALWAYS looked forward to. All these feelings started to hit me. I missed being in a community of Christians and I really miss worshiping God. Seriously, being in God's presence really shows you something. Which is why all the songs I had really saved me. It reminded me that God is still there and that He is the whole reason I am here. Not because of chance, not because my parents wanted me to be here (they wanted me to be in Australia... =.=) but because I saw how God led me here. As to why He wants me here, that is another question and hard to elaborate on. I just want to encourage all you Christians out there who are struggling that you are not alone. We all face the same struggles and there is definitely someone out there facing the exact same problem that you are going through right now. This is something which I have learned.

Aside from all the above, here is a random tip as well...

GET A PERSONAL FRIDGE

and then buy things like juice and water to keep. As well as red bull if it works for you. If you have a communal fridge, there is a really high chance that they will disappear before you even get a chance to take a single sip. Hah!

Wassssuuuupppp people???!! Long time hasn't it? Since I was once again bugged and reminded I have a duty to my readers out there *ahem*, here I am to update you all on my BRAND NEW LAPTOP! So I really do not have any excuse not to update anymore.

Let me tell you this one this to start off. Whatever you do, make sure you bring the following:

Sweater/Jacket
Entertainment (iPods, Laptops with movies)
A solid pair of over-ear headphones/in-ear earphones
a small pillow or neckrest
sleeping pills if you need them

Now, their explanation. The first doesn't need to be explained. It is just common sense. I am just putting it out there. The reason I said iPods and laptops with movies in them is because airlines usually provide crappy if not very zero entertainment. I took Delta Air most of the way and it was.. well... bad. The only movie worth watching was Rio and even then it was not that great. The music selection is all the pop songs you hear on radio. So unless you do not mind watching reruns or overplayed songs, make sure you bring your own portable entertainment device.

Once thing I did a lot in the 3 flight to US is sleep. Sleep sleep sleep. That was my most primary activity on board the 25 hour long journey which I do not plan on making for another few more months. A solid pair of over-ear headphones is to simply block out the airplane noise. I do not mean the simple stuff. Simple stuff would merely block out air and even then it doesn't do that well. Get either passive noise cancellation headphones or the electronic ones. But I do not recommend getting the electronic ones until they are made better. But for now, the passive ones will suffice. They are cheaper too. Most of them.

The other thing about long flights would be their seats. Most of us, like myself, would take coach, or ECONOMY class as they would call it. There, chairs are like our dull principles who are strict and upright. Whereas, the FIRST class fliers are treated by wonderful jolly fat mans from Scotland and treating them to beer ever so often and with lots of space I might add. Which brings us to pillows. Usually, most airlines would provide a small pillow. But do not use it to hug, use it for back support. Trust me. I never knew I would like an airline pillow so much until I had to sit almost upright the whole time for 10-11 hours per flight. It's crazy! A neckrest would be great as well. That way, you can just lean your neck a little sideways and sleep with support. I didn't have that luxury, but I slept anyway!

Sleeping pills! Now, I do not recommend taking this unless you absolutely must. Some people cannot sleep with the amount of noise a plane makes, and therefore require some "help". But by doing so, you might miss a few important meals and drinks. Unless you are as lucky as me. I had to sit beside two Japanese females. One mother and a daughter. Very nice people. I was dead asleep without myself knowing it and when I opened my eyes, POOF! Food magically appeared before my very eyes. Very nice people.

Now think about this, if you were treated very nicely on a plane full of strangers, would you treat them back the same way or just go about it awkwardly?

I didn't pull it off so well. All I did for them was bring down the window blinds so that they could sleep whenever the sun was up and bright. And bring it up when the daughter wanted to look outside but was too shy to tell me. I am ashamed. HARAKIRI!!

Many people had asked me this question:

"What do you think you will miss the most when you leave?"

Personally, I really cannot say much. Other than food and family, the rest will come naturally I guess.

Packing: 85%

Mentally: 25%

Spiritually: 100%

The packing came really easily since I had already started packing 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately for me, I do not have enough pants or socks to go yet. I have been wearing jeans for the past 4 days because I am out of pants to wear. Sad right? So make sure you got at least more than 2 bottoms. If you are a female... Well, I am sure you got a lot more than just 2 bottoms.

The reason I am only 25% mentally prepared is simply because I am going there for a holiday before semester starts and the past few days felt like any other day. I think the reality will sink in when I am on the plane or on the way to airport.

I am physically prepared at 11% because I don't think I am ready to leave my Malaysian food just yet. Think about it, you are not going to eat roti canai fresh again for many months and are now stuck with frozen roti canai that tastes like.. well, frozen.

Then comes spiritual readiness. Leaving Impact youth behind really makes me sad. It has been my source of spiritual encouragement and strength. I can admit I am not the best "Christian" in the world but I am definitely a human being. I am not perfect and I am not "holier than thou". Of course, I am still learning and I got the best people to guide me. Having to leave, the church had so graciously covered me with prayer. I couldn't have asked for a better farewell present. Not even money could top that. It really showed me what a Christian community could do for one another and it made me even more sad to leave. That is the reason why I say I am 100% spiritually ready. For I know that I am safe with God.

Aside from that, I had to say many goodbye's and farewells. Take care's and all the best. Gave the most hugs I had ever given away in 10 minutes than my whole life combined. I also went for lunch with a large group of friends that I will definitely miss about Malaysia. I never expected anybody to be at the airport to send me off except my family and girlfriend but I was touched to know that some are actually sending me off. Truly, they are the people who will make me cry and I am not looking forward to that moment. But it's still nice to know that somebody cares for you enough to actually send you off at the distant airport.

I guess as the time gets closer for me to leave, I will be very depressed. I hope those of you leaving will have a proper closure because I did; and it is the best. Hah!

Aside from the awkward title, the rest should come as a parent's nagging voice into your head. Although, some might see some sense in it. Hahah. Okay.

The current state of my room is: Messy

I would post a picture here, but let's face it. I am a lot more of a neat freak than most of you out there. I shall quote -

"my bed is messier than your room la kenny... T_T"

That's how bad it is. Okay, I digress. I was supposed to go to Melaka today but due to unforeseen circumstances and a puke later, we decided to postpone it to tomorrow. No, I did not puke. So I decided to unpack and pack my things. As of right now, I have 13 days till my flight. Being a guy, I should not be packing till maybe the last 2 days or so. We men are masters at procrastination when it comes to packing, no? However, I am not most men who do so. Rather, I actually started packing. Today. But why unpack and pack?

2 and a half months ago, I packed all my things and moved house. Until today, not everything was unpacked and left in boxes. So in the process of taking things out and throwing things out, I found things to pack.

Change of plans! Let's talk about something else. But to give you the bottom line of the previous train of thought, pack early. You will find a lot of things to pack as well as things that you would miss. Also, you don't have to worry about not having enough luggage space since you have time to get more.

Every student needs a good camera. Seriously. You are going to a foreign country with lot's of new things to see and experience. Are you going to leave your family out of the picture? That's mean of you. So ever since I came back from dinner, I have been searching for a camera that is less than 1000 ringgit. Or in other words 333.333333333 USD. No offence to Americans, but your economic downturn is awesome for shopping.

The camera is important especially if you are going to a country like New Zealand, Japan, USA, Europe, Norway and some other countries. Though, I must say that UK is not in that list simply because their weather is pretty much gloomy most of the time. I am not saying that you can't get good pictures, but you guys don't have a lot of colour. Like fish and chips. All you see is golden yellow in addition to white tar tar sauce.

On a side note, if you see a fishy feeling/looking golden bun, DO NOT EAT IT. Hah!

Complexity Is The New Norm?

Hey! Here is something for you to think about. What do you think about the concept behind Ying & Yang? I actually asked a group of Form 2's today and they gave the most straight forward answers. Well, they are only 14 so cut them some slack. I guess the most basic thing about the concept of Ying & Yang would be harmony/balance.

Now, apply that to out daily walk with Christ. Do we keep God in the balance or do we completely keep him out of the picture. Of course, there are people who are dedicated 100% to God but I am talking about the general public who have daily jobs and go to school. Today, we tend to keep work, homework, friends, computers, iThings, games, tuition, studies and other things to fill out our daily hours. So out of maybe, 2 hours left for yourself a day, how much of it goes to God? Do we keep God in our minds when we run our businesses? Do we keep God in our minds when we go to school or when they "baca doa"? They even told you to pray yourselves. The question is, do you just stand idly or do you pray for your school/workplace?

Imagine, we as Christians already face so many challenges during our time here in Malaysia. What happens when you are in another country fending for yourself? There will be new people. There will be new study materials. There will be new distractions. Thus, you will have MANY more things to fill your time. Classes, laundry, cooking, assignments... All these things will definitely put a lot of you out of commission when the day is done. Think about it. What will happen to God in your life when everything is busy fighting for your time? God won't pester you about spending time with Him. God won't force you to go to church. If you don't push yourself, who will? Balance... Never thought of it that much have you?

With that out of the way, let us talk about what we discussed about meeting your girlfriend's parents. Well, I met them tonight! However, with 5 days to digest the idea I was going out with them, I didn't feel quite as nervous as I did when I got the message the first time. To add on to tips I gave:

1. Stand up to greet. It doesn't look good when you just sit down and say "Hi!" while waving your hands in gesture. That just makes you look like a small boy.

2. If they ask you to order, make sure you order what is nice. If you are unsure, ask them if they like a certain item on the menu. Of course, bear in mind that if they are paying (which most likely they will), make sure you look at the budget and don't go ordering a feast.

3. Remember what I said about venue? Please make sure you know where you are going. But usually, the best bet would be a pair of jeans, and a nice t-shirt or shirt.

4. When asked, please do not talk with your mouth full. Be like me and stuff your cheeks like a hamster and stuff your food in your cheeks. So make sure you don't take a large spoon full of food.

5. There will be at times, awkward silences. Do not try and make convo unless you know what you are doing.

6. Last but not least, be a gentleman and say thank you for the dinner. Even if they didn't pay for you. Give your girlfriend some decency by showing that you are nice to her parents.

I must say, tonight was definitely not what I expected. Certain questions which I expected were not asked, and topics which were entirely different came to pass. So there you have it. An interesting meet of people has finally come to a close. I wish you all the best to those pursuing your girlfriend! Hah!

Bake, Cakes & Brakes

To all who know me, you know what the first word of my title would mean for you all this Saturday. That's right! BROWNIES!

However, this time round, it wasn't my idea to bake. So all of you better go up to my sister and shower her with thanks. Hahah. I sound like a snobby kid right now. Courtesy of a certain Justina Wong from Toronto, Canada, I was able to make the "best batch of brownies" ever.

You all must also be wondering, "wasn't this blog supposed to be about guides and experiences?" Well, I will get to them, don't worry. Soon.

And that "soon" is now. For all of you who have yet to leave for your overseas destination, I highly recommend visiting relatives whom you probably think you would not meet again or anytime soon.

I just got back from Singapore myself. This explains why I have not updated this blog for a few days. The point of this trip was dual. One of those reasons is for my dad to meet his clients based in Singapore. The second was for me to visit my dad's uncle side of the family. Yes, we Chinese

have a huge circle. We tend to stick with each other.

The point of visiting family is to either say thank you or pay respects to them. Or both. I was never really close to that side of the family. Nevertheless, it is important to acknowledge your elders, especially if you have met them before. It may very well be a culture thing, but I recommend it nonetheless.

My second stop in this trip was Melaka. However, I didn't get the chance to do so because of a family emergency which required my grandmother to be busy and therefore, make the trip pointless. My grandmother has always lived in Melaka. A lovely woman with a beautiful smile. She has a photo of herself hanging in her room when she was in her youth. Truly a sight. She is also an amazing cook with no competition. Of course, I am bias when it comes to her but I do try to be impartial. I guess you could say I am horribly attached to her. I don't know why. I can't

even speak Cantonese. So we hardly ever understand each other.

What I am saying is to basically visit these relatives of yours to let them know they are special. It means even more to them than it means to you. If you can catch my drift. Especially the old folks because your presence there before your leave shows that they are still there and they mean something to you. It shows them the love and acknowledgement they need.

The other reason I forgot to mention is of course, the local food. Hahah. There are so many things in Malaysia and Singapore that you must have before leaving for a Western country. This

is simply because they do not have the same tenacity that we Asians have when it comes to flavourful cooking. Singapore has their "Chwee Kueh" (not sure if I spelled that correctly), Johor has got Kuey Tiow Kia which even Kuala Lumpur does not have. They also have really good Claypot Chicken Rice. Melaka has got Yee Kiow which is local to that state only for some reason. That state also has THE BEST Satay Celup in Malaysia - Seriously. There is also a special style Wan Tan Meen in Melaka as well. They do not serve it with black sauce. Next on my list would be Mamak food. Nothing beats the good old fashion Roti Canai or Roti Telur. Even a Maggie Goreng is awesome! There is a whole list of foods we could go through tonight but let us face it. There is simply too much. Hah!

Guide to NOT Panic When Meeting Your Girlfriend's Parents

Well now. This is awkward. I bet one day, those of us who have girlfriend's must meet their parents. Well, that day came sooner than expected. It's nice and all to actually have dinner with them, so do not take me the wrong way. It's just that... well... it's just awkward considering that they never said much until now. So it is rather sudden.

In any case, when I first read the text I got from my girlfriend's mother, I literally panicked and went speechless. So here are my tips if you panic.

1. Compose yourself. Take your time, say, 5 minutes? and then reply. If it is the first time, just say yes.

2. Obviously, you would continue to panic, but the best solution is to stop thinking about it and distract yourself. Play a computer game, guitar, sing or something along those lines.

Okay. Now, if you are like me you would panic over what to wear. So...

Know where you are going!

The best part about having a girlfriend is that she can ask for you! That way, you would not overdress or under dress when meeting them for the first time. First impression and all that. Unfortunately for me, I had to suggest a place to go. However, I have yet to do so for I really don't know where to go. So many factors! I was literally pacing my toilet just now cause I was panicking. Hahah. Hah. Ha.

Now, the rest of my tips are simple ones. It should have been thought to you or you should have learned it by now.

1. When meeting their parents, greet them nicely. But don't be a stick in the mud and bow or something. Unless they are royalty of course.

2. Try your best to maintain composure. Do not explode in awkward conversations and weird actions.

3. Do not hesitate if you can.

4. Be yourself. Nothing is better than to prove yourself to be good than to put on a fake character and divorce your wife later on.

Unfortunately, all the above are just tips. If you do mess up, well, you are human. But do take number 4 seriously. Think about it.

Now, if you don't mind me, I will now distract myself heavily by thinking about my trip to Singapore and drown myself with games and laptop research. Hah!

Revamped & Re-instated!

I just realised my last post is longer than a year ago. I think. In addition, my girlfriend has been bugging me to do this for a while now. So, 3 reasons to do this.

1. Make my girl happy.

2. I want to start blogging my international experience.

3. I feel like it.

Shallow eh? In any case, I hope some of you would read this. Haha.

In the recent weeks, reality smacked me in the face so many times I think I am mentally bruised. The obvious reason is simply because I am leaving my country and my home. For some of you who do not know, I am a typical "home body". I rarely leave the house unless it is for friends or my girlfriend. Even then, I might not want to go out. Lousy boyfriend eh? Don't tell me you never felt that way with your girlfriend/boyfriend! But, yeah, I am horrid aren't I?

I digress. The first thing that smacked me was... the obvious one of course, the very fact that I am leaving to study abroad. Think about it. You got your acceptance letter, you got a place to stay, meal plans thought out, allowance allocated, subjects selected, plane tickets issued, visa collected and sitting in your passport and finally, you bought your living necessities. Scary. It becomes so real that it scares you. Ngeh. I moved on. I think...

Second reality that hit me is the next obvious thing. My girlfriend. Ever heard of the term "long piak" in chinese? For those of you who don't know what it means, and correct me if I am wrong, it means when you see a wall in front of you, you run into it instead. That wall to me would be pain and probably emptiness. Quite simply, I am leaving the girl who I am deeply infatuated with and I am not happy about it. (I know it's mushy, just bear with me okay? Short while more) It kills me each time she sheds a tear over it. Unfortunately, I have to leave and there will be ups and downs. For those of you who do not think they are ready for a LDR, please do not start a relationship knowing full well what is going to happen. Trust me, it hurts before you even leave. To those who are in a LDR, all the best to you all. To those who have successfully went through an LDR, congratulations!

Third reality that hit me was that I am leaving my family. I love my family to bits. Even if I am terrible at showing it. They are definitely not perfect, but they are my family and they are perfect in their imperfections. For example, the fact that my mum forgets where she puts her phone every few hours in a day would be something I would miss a lot cause it is rather hilarious when she panics. My sister when she is blur ( I definitely will not miss the fights ). My dad when he is all blur and shocked at certain things. Especially when my friends are over. He provides entertainment that way. Hahah. No offence though. Everyone enjoys the humour.

Fourth reality is probably the comforts of home. Duh. I am a spoiled brat! But that is up to you to decide. Hahah. I am expecting bad reviews after this after all... Not like I get any anyway. Anyway, I have all the comforts of home now. Awesome showers (if you ask anybody who has taken a shower at my place, they would agree on this. Hahah! Maybe I should add that to my bragging rights on Google+), I don't have to wash my own clothes, I don't have to iron my own clothes, and I don't have to wash my own toilet or cook for myself! Not that I don't know how to do all these chores, it's just that currently, they are done for me. Told you I am a spoiled brat.

I am pretty sure those of you who are leaving overseas or have left had at least experienced some of these realities before leaving. Of course, there are other realities that have hit other people. But these are the ones that did hit me. But enough sad stories and how reality smacks people. Let's talk about the things that we can look forward to!

This is my list:

1. New culture

2. New place

3. New laptop (major plus here)

4. I have a roommate! Scary actually, considering I don't know who it is!

5. French Canadian cooking!!

6. Salmon... salmon... smoked salmon... ugh...

7. It's a freaking Computer Science course! Awesome... (I am not saying that it is going to be easy)

8. Snow boarding!!

9. Ice fishing (though, I may not enjoy this very much)

10. Time to learn to be independent. In so many aspects.

There are many things a person could look forward to. Personally, I think the best of these would be the new experience. Think about it.

On a side note, I want to record the truth about being an international student. No frills. No added flavour. No MSG. Nothing but pure experience. But of course, if you know me well enough, I may stop blogging after awhile simply because I am lazy and it takes too much time. Hah!

CNY Blues..?

Well.. It's probably half way through CNY by now. It was nice going back to Melaka and all, but I think I would have preferred to stay there today. I barely had a decent sleep last night, was alone for lunch, bored like heck, girlfriend probably ticked at me but I cannot confirm, dinner hasn't been resolved and only my sister and myself are eating, and I am pretty much alone the whole damn day. Pretty? I wish it was. It's as if God understands what I feel now and therefore it rains. Heavily.

The wind is howling, windows are creaking, thunders roaring and I can barely see anything outside. Despite this being an incredibly annoying post with my insistent whining, I think I will try to end on a lighter note.

I spent time with my grandma and that was.. very nice.. I really am going to miss her when I leave..

In about a few days, I would be getting something really nice.. 2 in fact.. although the second one is only a "might be".

Temperatures are dropping in the house.. So at least its starting to get cooling.

When the rain stops, I get a clear view of the city.. maybe..

Night is falling.. That means the day is ending.. That's something to look forward to..

Well.. before I start to kill anyone other than myself in wallowing in my own depressing day, I shall stop here.

seriously... im about to freaking explode!

First off...

The job was a pain because the Electrolux people kept passing their shit towards us. Certain people were a pain in the ass and quite frankly... I am not sure if the job was worth it. Thankfully got people who were actually nice and had work ethic. Thank goodness i also have a good boss... ==

Got home, after driving back from putrajaya. Raining. Had to carry stupid bloody a lot of stuff back and i had to shuffle between costumes, luggage, my mum's stupid bamboo stick, my wallet with my resident card and my car keys. RAAAAHHHH!!!!!

Took a shower. Tried calling girlfriend but she cannot hear. Finally get to hear her voice but cannot talk... Too bloody noisy. Thanks a lot IKEA... Useless piece of shit... == I dont even get to talk to her later cause somebody decided to stay over... fine.. whateverla...

fml....

For The Sake Of It All

Hi guys! I haven't been posting in a long time... It feels... Liberating to do it again though...

Unfortunately, I doubt anybody actually reads this blog/journal thing except for a certain few... i wish more people read my blog/journal... It would force me to write more!

Anyway... It has been an extremely crazy six months in college which is why I don't log into Gaia much any more. However, I am now enjoying my 1 month holiday! Therefore, I am now able to log in more.

During the past six months, I have studied (its TRUE), stressed, and enjoyed myself in my college Pre-University Course, and it all led to this point in my life.
WAITING FOR MY FREAKING FINAL REPORT CARD...!

Aside from that, do you wanna know what I have been doing this past few weeks after my exams? I'm going to tell you anyway so shut up and read!

Lemme see... Okay, I will start with the weekend after my exams. Basically, it was prom night. It was a lot better than my high school prom, so I just wanna say...
THE SMKDJ PROM COMMITTEE WAS THE WORST ORGANISERS I HAVE EVER KNOWN!

Other than that... My date was beautiful that night... She wore a black one shoulder dress with pale yellow thrown into the mix which made a very elegant appeal. Her hair was also well done... We had a really good time... We managed to slow dance at one point but it was short lived... oh well... Another time then... I would show you guys pictures... But they are on facebook... HAHAH

After that event, everything else is like a blur now... I guess it was that awesome...
I am probably just to lazy to remember...

I've been watching a few football matches in the FIFA World Cup and I must say, it's rather boring considering that the last World Cup was more entertaining.

Computer fumbles

Honestly.. How hard issit just to read and see the word "AUDIO DRIVER" before deleting it? ==

Not I have to fix this mess so I can continue my final studies... and time is ticking!

With that said and done...

I've always wondered what were the use of computer classes for young kids. They can learn it themselves really quickly without the help of other people. Kids in England are already watching porn by the age of 12!! What the heck are these classes for??!!

I say.. Classes should be given to adults who are computer illiterate and are willing to learn. Even old men like farmers who want to bring their produce to the internet could do this sort of thing. It would make this world a better place and it will most definitely irritate less people... LEARN HOW TO USE THE COMPUTER!! DON'T DEPEND ON OTHERS TOO MUCH!!

Anyway, it's been a long time since I last blogged. I was getting lazy. So I shall continue here! =]

During this past 3 months that I left out in this blog, i went through, stress, screams, irritations, anger, happiness, lack of sleep and stupidity. @@

Long story.

It's amazing how things have turned out the way they are now. So many events, so many decisions and so many people are thrown into the mix, changing at every point in time you or I decide on something. Sometimes, you wonder what if you went back and chose to do something else. Would it change the course of the whole world or just yourself?

I've never took the people I have and know now for granted. Each person is as precious as the other with their own unique personality. Except for a certain few...

The more you think about it, if I didn't choose to go to Taylor's CPU, I doubt I would enjoy college life that much and I wouldn't have met people like Razlan, Aviel, Wai Hoong, Max, Ayman, Melvin, Daniel, Jazz, Michael, Mr. Dale, Mr. Wise, Andrew, Marcus, Andrey, Chitiiren, Chen, Kwa, Ikki, Ming Sze* i think thats how you spell his name... @@(Fish) Lisa, Abby, Jaya, Iksheeta, Katy, Ms. Christina, Debra, Natasha, Natasha Felina, Evelyn quek, Evelyn, Venessa, Nisa, Choo, Tina, Ms. Bell *awesome student lecturer*, Nuru and a whole lot of others which I most likely did not mention. Each person I have met so far are all different in their own way and they are awesome for it.

Impact. A highlight of my college life. Awesome kids, awesome tweens, awesome teens. I say kids because some of them are not really that mature... XD *don't kill meh!* =3

But they truly are nice people. They can be an inspiration when you look at them work together. Which sometimes, could be a rarity. @@ I should go for an outing with my Form 1's one of these days. =]

This post is for you guys in my life. Best friends, friends in general and girlfriend. You guys are awesome and I hope our friendship lasts for a lifetime. =]

But.. I guess the biggest thing that probably impacted me the most, is having a someone to care for. I don't care who is reading this post but some of you probably know who it is. It somehow changed the way I think and surprisingly, it makes me want to do better. It is something I truly treasure and if anything other than God himself were to come in the way of it... well... do the math... It won't be pretty. =D But thanks... for being there.. and I'll be here if you need me.. =]

Well well well... I havent posted in a long time now haven't I?

So I shall make this VERy simple.

Since my memory is extremely horrible, I shall start my little story in a quaint little town of Melaka! =D A short description of Melaka. HOT, STUFFY but EXTREMELY good food! =D Did I mention it was REALLY HOT??!!

Anyway, while we were there, I bought more clothes than I did in KL! -__- I tend to shop more outstation than in KL. Weird.

Melaka was the best. I love my grandma. She is very sweet but she can be very GANAS as need be and sometimes... she is just ganas... XD

But in the end, like we all do, we leave our hometowns of our parents and we head home to where our lives are.. filled with disgusting food and work. Haih... -__-

Oh, but you must see what I wanted my dad to buy! Too bad he didnt though.. Haih.. The irony was DELICIOUS! XD

Anyway, as MOST of us did, we got back to college. We had a few tests here and there got back our marks etc...

I am HAPPY!!! Other then my fail memory, my average for English is 83 out of 100 over 12 submissions! X] My math quiz got 15.5 out of 16 and my computer science got 42 out of 42 and 10 out of 10!! How awesome can that be??!!! XD

Also, I seem to be a lot more active in college than in highschool... BIG difference. I am not head of graphics department for ICPU yearbook and head of Procyon. A dance crew recently formed in the dance club for juniors to gain exposure and whatnot... BUT I DIDNT WANT THAT JOB!!! T_T anyway, whatever... just have got more things to do I guess.. =]

So today was our first ever ‘proper’ lesson since starting college. Topic, Power Functions! Learning this subject is definitely new to me even though I kept hearing my Additional Math teacher raving on and on about functions and things of that nature. Despite having learnt the type of graphs with its respective power notation, I can’t help but feel like I have already learnt this in high school. Maybe it’s just me. But what I learnt that is new is the name of these graphs. Like cubic, quartic and quintic. Another thing I learned that is new was the term degree. However, knowing myself, I probably learnt it in high school but it just flew out the window during the holidays. Hahah. I now can actually tell what is the differences between a polynomial graph and a trigonometric graphs! I always thought they were the same. -__- So far so good i guess. Considering that I have learnt what is an end behavior and REMEMBERED it! My memory work needs working. Get it? XD I doubt anybody would get that. I like the way the lessons are thought out on a day to day basis. At least I know what we are going into for the next lesson and what to expect. Although, working in groups is still awkward for me. BUT! That’s where government schools lack. GROUP STUDIES… -__-

Power functions… PART 2! Sounds like a blockbuster movie if you ask me. Anyway, today was basically explaining the concepts of power functions and how it would turn out in a form of a graph. I must say that math is interesting but I am horrible at it. I tend to over think through things and therefore make mistakes. I have yet to use the new calculator I bought. It is super expensive. Even after the ‘discount’, it still cost us a pretty penny. Anyway, all this time when I look upon a graph, I never knew what type it is. Till I actually did the homework. The question is, will I remember it? Things like, exponential, periodic and power graphs. I might get them confused later on. STAY IN MY FREAKING HEAD! -__-

But other than that, it’s understandable so far. It’s just the memory work.

It’s halfway through the week and I am still looking forward to college! I think… The only part which I hate about college is the distance. Why must Subang be so far away from Bandar Utama? Anyway, today, we were learning about a new topic, which is ‘Characteristics of polynomial Functions’! Such a long name… Again, this is mostly concept. So I could understand it well. Wait till we get to the harder parts. I would die! The questions were pretty simple. Again, I fell as if I have already learnt some of these in high school. I always counted the number of turning points and added one more to obtain the value of the degree. So it was not really hard to understand. Point of symmetry is a new thing to me though. However, line of symmetry is not new to me. I don’t really understand finite differences though. I should ask Aviel about that.

Anyway, we continued on… ‘Characteristics of Polynomial Functions… functions… functions…’ Now that sounded like a documentary in the late 90’s. Weird. Miss C. finally gave an explanation on the relationship of finite differences and the equation of a polynomial graph. This explanation would have been a lot better off told earlier. Hahah. But learning things slowly actually helps me absorb better, so I am not complaining. Hahah. We learned a few things on the “NEW” calculator. It’s actually very nice to use. Once you get the hang of it. Which will take a while knowing myself.

It was an awesome couple of days... The events were good... and I had great company... =]

Yesterday night.. I went for a Christmas Party... It was my Christian Fellowship's Party! So many people were there... And some of them are not even from my school!! @@ But who cares!! They were awesome people and they were so... LIVELY!!

My friend brought her DSLR camera... AND TWAS AWESOME!!! I loved her cam!! Its so fun running around taking pictures of everybody... Normally... People in my CF would be camera shy... Guess what??!!

Today... I went to Swensen's for desert with a few of my friends... *i know its fattening... *

but thats beside the point... after that... WE WENT TO MAMAK!!! @@ But I didnt eat.. Thank God... =D

While we were discussing about camps and pranks... We suddenly came upon an idea to go to Melaka for a 2 day and 1 night thing so we can eat all the local food there... XD

It was totally random!! XD I mean... At one point.. we were talking about camps.. What we were doing at our camp after hours... Then we were talking about where we were staying... then... we came to the part about food... @@ Then a friend of mine started saying Melaka... XD And since my dad comes from there... My friend asked if he could be a guardian...

And my dad agreed when i asked him... XD Mmmmm... food.... Melaccan food... Awesome... =D

Our plan is simple... Satay Celup, Pork Satay*, Yee Kiow... And maybe then some!

Cannot wait... =]

Although I'm talking about food like I'm SUPER DUPER INSANELY HUNGRY....

I havent been journalling lately have I???

welll.... HERE I AM!!!

anyways... I have a lot of thing to write.. But I can't think of where to start... hmmm...

Well... To start off.... MY FREAKIN EXAMS ARE OVAHHHHH!!!!!!

Although... on the last day i wasn't at all excited...

I think it was because I was already in the holiday mood... So now I am releasing it?? hmm... hahah..

Anyways... Since exams are over... I bought myself a 1 Terra byte portable hard drive! Weeeee~

Its so useful! I placed all my games, music, videos, movies, installation packs... uhmm... oh yeah!! recipes! =] I still haven't done my baking frenzy..

I wan to make brownies... cookies... cheesecake.... another cheesecake... mmmm... cheeseeeee~ *drools*

anyways... In between the gaming and sleeping... I had other activities!! duh...

I went to the movies with my friends... And guess what we watched??

Yes.. Its a Disney movie... But it was.... AWESOME... XD really... I missed these sort of cartoons... Proper and not overdone with the animation crap which makes it into another crap cartoon like... like.... uhm..... oh oh!!!

See! It's so bad I cant remember what its called... -__- Pathetic right?

Anyways... This movie has got humour that even old people like me can understand!! The romance was pretty usual... But what mainly got my attention was the use of african americans in New Orleans and the Jazz music.. Really... Its awesome...

And I had a great time... Didnt talk much.. *cause it was a movie... duh.. * but still... had great friends around me... =]

The next day... What do you call it... hmm... oh yeah...

ARE YOU READY FOR PAIN??!!!

Myahahah.... Anways... I went for some paintball action... It was in Shah Alam and it was scenario paintball... =] Jungle style..! But for some reason I always keep thinking Vietnam whenever I was told about the place... XD

Anyways... The game consists of 3 rounds... 1st game was... Team Deathmatch..

The rules were simple.. Whoever's team has the most members after 15 mins will win... =] simple right?? NOT!

Okay... We had 15 people so one side had to be uneven.... My side had 8! =D

Cause we had two girls and they had 1.. So its fair.. =]

Anyways... After you are shot the 3rd time... means you are out of the game.. and you know what? I didnt get a single shot in the 1st round! Awesome skills right?? XD

On to the second round!

Rules: Capture The Flag

Again.. simple rules... Whoever can capture the flag and defend for 5 mins wins..

Alright... My team had 8 right?

And apparently I was designated as leader... -___- remind me to kill my friend for that...

Okay... From my point of view....

On the left hand side.. Is all bunkers that could be used for cover...

To the right hand side.. Is all jungle and a bit of wooden walls that could be used for cover..

The best part of this map is that... Our side had the BEST vantage points!

So... I split my team into 4 teams.. 2 in one team... 2 teams head left and the other 2 to the jungle area...

I had a girl cover me! =] but dont be fooled! she is quite good... @@

I had my smallest team member be in charge of the flag capturing... He was with another guy.. And he is slightly... crazy... @@

Anyways... So my smallest team mate ran for the flag... and we had... 4 people covering him... myahahh... thanks to my awesome planning... *actually its not... XD we just had good vantage points... *

and he managed to get the flag up! One guy rushed after him from the opposing team... he easily had... 4-6 shots at his body cause all four to 6 people were shooting at him at once.. Ouch...

anyways.... so the defending started... =]

Remember the guy i told you was crazy?? He ran into the opposite house where the opposing team was taking cover.. -___- so guess what?? BANG BANG BANG!!!

2 minutes later... One of the opposing team members came dashing for the flag.. again... easily 7 shots hit the guy... @@ The pain....

from there... It was basically shoot at whoever moves... XD we even managed to shoot them in the house through the small slits... well... those were lucky shots.. The girl that was covering me really did a good job... she shot 2 guys coming at us from the left hand side which they ignored.... -__- I think they might have put up a better fight if they all decided to split into 4 - 3 teams.. 3 takes us on the other 4 goes for the flag.. so while we are distracted.. the other 4 can concentrate on the flag... wasted...

Anyways... At one pont of the game... My friend in the opposing team came up on two of my team mates without being detected and he pointed the gun at them... BUT... the other two said surrender... O-O"

no comment for that man... but the funny thing is... the one pointing the gun got shot at the balls.... OUCH! and he was the one that always got shot running for the flag! ? ><>

So my team won this round... and we still had a lot of bullets left! =]

since the third round was our last... *which was good since we were all exhausted already...* we decided to change the rules abit... INFINITE RESPAWN!! We wanted to finish our bullets so whoever finished their bullets gets out of the game... =]

The game was brutal.... Both sides were shooting like mad... everybody got shot at least once... ><>

Its ok.. I had a headshot back at another guy like at their base camp from my base camp! i should be a sniper.. haiz...

the funny thing is... other than that headshot... Everyone shot my fingers... -___- ish.... and one of the pallets actually bounced off my arm! @@

Oh yeah!! i got another headshot except this time it was at my mouth and some of the paint went into my mouth!! so in a reflex.. I took off the mask in an instance after the shot... hahaha... and my glasses came off in the process... @@

So i went out... I still had bullets... BUT EVERYBODY CAME FOLLOWING ME OUT!!! So game over.. -__- Nvm... we finished it just by spamming at the walls of the map... XD

We took 5 hours for the game.. under the hot sun.... in out super hot masks... and the super STINKY vest... @@ Today I was knocked out completely... T-T stayed at home the whole day.. XD

Anyways.. thats basically all I have to say for now.. .XD

I actually lost my appetite for... 3 days in a row... And the people who know how much i eat... well... Its shocking...

I skipped lunch for the three days and knowing myself... THAT DOES NOT HAPPEN!

My uhh... I donno what you call it... But.. She is the person who was babysat by my grandma and she is like a god daughter... So that would make her a god aunt??

Anyways... She was trying to wrap the thing, but the contents kept falling out! XD Its very funny... Everyone was sorta pickin on her!

So I decided to just help out... I wrapped a HUGE one for her...!

Nah.. It's not that big... heheh

I also did that for my grandma...

And at the end of the whole thing.. when everyone was done eating, I sorta just threw all the stuff unto the plate and gobbled everything down without the wrap!

Then we had chocolate ice cream...

So as usual... Spm starts with paper 1. No problem there..! =]

So we all had to this section A where it was directed writing... Man... Does anybody remember how to do a report?? Oh well... 3 marks only... Heheeh...

The next section was the continuous writing section.... I LOVE this part! It's super fun!!

So as usual, there would be a one word topic... And this year... They chose "Beauty"

O3O I was so tempted to rewrite my trial's essay.... It was so sick and twisted but it revolved around beauty... I would change Julia Roberts to Megan Fox though... Wait... Did I spell that right?? hmm... @@

But anyway, I decided to be a bit more HUMANE as Pn Mag told me to... >___> So fine... I decided to write about the beauty of friendship!! ZOMG!!! So corny!!! XD

Anyway... I decided it to be placed in events of WWII... So yeah.. I bet you can can come up with something from there... 3 friends... Best friends.. one dies off... and soon another... And one left to live his life for the other two... SO CORNY!!!... But that was all I could think of at the time... yeesh... brainless la...

Then we had Paper 2... Heheheh... How I loved this part... I finished in 1 hour and 30 mins... Which means, I had an hour and 15 minutes to burn... So okay.. I took a mid morning nap!! XD Well... I consider it as catching up with missed sleep... XD

So after they collected the paper... We went for lunch... Okay... It was just me and Victor... Lonely right?? Victor was stressing all over Sejarah.. But then again... I would be too if I was aiming for an A... XD However, we had to rush down our food as we only had 15 minutes to spare before having to leave for school...
